New rules came into upshot on November one, 2022 in Côte Saint-Luc on temporary car shelters, or tempos. Some areas of the city are immune to install tempos, but some are not. If y'all live in a unmarried-family home or duplex on the following streets, you arenon allowed to install a tempo.

Tempo rules and application form

If yous are eligible to install a tempo, the next pace is to complete the awarding form below and pay the annual fee of $75 at City Hall (5801 Cavendish Blvd.).

Temporary car shelters tin be gear up from Nov 1. Car shelters are immune until April fifteen of the following yr.

The tempo must be translucent white sail with a articulate window of at least 0/56m² (vi sq. ft.). This window must exist less than 1.83m (6 ft.) from the opening of the tempo. The tempo must be fitted with a dismantable tubular metallic frame.

It must be located at a minimum distance of:

  • 1.52m (five ft.) from the city roadway pavement where no sidewalk exists
  • 4.88m (16 ft.) from the bend of the roadway at an intersection

It is the possessor's responsibility to brand sure the installation is in keeping with the standards stipulated in by-law 2217-57. If the installation does not comply with city by-laws, the city could force the possessor to brand the necessary adjustments, subject field to the fines provided for in the bylaw.
